Landscaping

Giddy Garden Grooming design and build sustainable landscapes utilising native plants and materials that minimise our impact on the environment.

Giddy designs are elegant and ensure that all plants are placed to ensure optimal plant health and aesthetic appeal. The designs allow for natural water consumption minimising the amount of water need through irrigation.

We work within your budget to select the best plants, rocks, mulch, soil, timber and ornaments to elevate your outdoor space.

Bluestone paving with a french pattern.
  • Clearing out your old tired garden to make way for a new oasis.

  • Creating borders for your garden beds and green spaces with timbers, metals or bricks, among other materials.

  • What is irrigation? Irrigation is a system of pipes running water throughout your garden, with holes that drip underground, or sprinklers that spray above ground. We lay these pipes, set up your timers on the tap, and get it all running smoothly to ensure your plants get the adequate drink they need.

  • Spreading various types of mulch throughout garden beds for aesthetics, soil and plant health, and weed reduction.

  • Building pathways and courtyards with paving stones, tiles, landscape rocks, bricks, and more.

  • Sourcing, collecting, and placing plants and trees in your garden with regard to sun position and soil quality.

  • Using high pressure mechanical sprayers to remove built-up dirt from surfaces like decks, pathways, driveways, and retaining walls.

  • Constructing raised walls for garden beds out of materials such as timber, metal, bricks, and rocks.

  • Sourcing and collecting quality turf, preparing the soil, and installing rolls of turf which will over time become a lush green lawn.

  • Whether it’s Dromana toppings or 20mm Torquay stone, we’ll get your garden rocking.

This project seamlessly blends sophistication with natural beauty.

Corten steel edging gracefully defines the landscape, adding a contemporary edge. Its warm, weathered tones provide a striking contrast against the vibrant hues of native flora.

Meandering pathways adorned with timeless Blue Stone pavers guide visitors on a journey through lush greenery. Each step reveals the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail that define Giddy Garden Grooming's signature style.

Locally sourced Granitic sand forms the foundation of this outdoor space. Renowned for its exceptional compaction qualities, the granitic sand ensures a durable surface, perfect for both leisurely strolls and intimate gatherings.

Complementing the natural landscape, native plants including ‘White Correa’ and ‘Blue Fescue’ thrive in their carefully curated garden beds. This north-facing garden is well-prepared to cope with the sun as we thoroughly ameliorated the soil. We allowed the garden to use the water in its natural environment by avoiding installing irrigation. Our tension wire installation adds a touch of design flair while providing structural support for the ‘Happy Wanderer’, a Native climber with purple blossoms. From graceful grasses to vibrant trees, every plant selection reflects Giddy Garden Grooming's commitment to sustainability and biodiversity.

This Preston paradise is more than just a garden; it's a testament to the seamless integration of art and nature, where every detail harmonises to create an immersive outdoor experience.

We’re excited to share this review from our legend client Lukas and shout out to Erin for supervising the project.

“We’re honestly so happy with the work Mitch and the team at Giddy Garden Grooming have done. The finished garden looks amazing — exactly what we were after! They created a native Australian coastal-style space that feels natural, relaxed, and really well thought out.

From the first consultation to the final day of construction, everything went smoothly. Mitch was great to deal with — super responsive, even after hours, and nothing was ever too much trouble, including a few last-minute changes we threw at him. The whole team worked hard to get things done on time, and it really shows in the end result.

We also really appreciated their sustainable approach — reusing old materials where they could and designing with the environment in mind.

We highly recommend Giddy Garden Grooming and will definitely be getting them back for our next landscaping project. Thanks again, Mitch and team — we’re absolutely wrapped with how it all turned out!“ - Lukas

This project was organised and designed by property developer Amanda and we were thrilled to take part in the landscape construction.

The front of the property offers a whimsical theme, with a meadow-like pathway that leads you to the entrance.

In the back, a lush Tall Fescue lawn welcomes you to a curved bench firepit area, with tall Ficus ‘Flash’ trees and numerous Magnolias providing a sense of privacy. One can also enjoy some recreational gardening in the veggie planter space, nestled under the Persimmon tree.

Designed by us, this was a full back yard redo that properly marked our shift from mostly softscaping into hardscape design and construction. Naheed & Dele came to us wanting to make a dull back yard into an inviting entertainment space. They felt there was too little patio, and much of the space had poor drainage that needed improvement, and we were up for the challenge

We started by extending the patio area concrete slab, and re-paving with Australian Offcuts 20mm Bluestone crazy paving, ensuring to improve the drainage while doing so. This allowed for a larger entertainment space for them to place their BBQ and have an outdoor lounge. We added further garden beds around the exterior with corten steel edging, and matched the pre-existing Bamboo screening with some Jungle-like plantings. Next, the grass was upgraded to our favourite, Tall Fescue. And last, we put some finishing touches of Star Jasmine on criss cross tension wire, and varying size planters on the patio.

We completed this beautiful courtyard paving job we completed for Fiona in Elwood. We used bluestone pavers in a French pattern surrounded by lush plants in planter boxes and pots. The space has also been complemented with bamboo screening and river rocks to make it feel calm and inviting. This is a great example of how you can use your small space to the fullest.

Here is our plant list:

- Arthropodium cirratum aka New Zealand Rock Lily

- Bambusa textilis gracilis aka Slender Weaver Bamboo

- Heuchera micrantha 'Palace Purple’ aka Coral Bells

- Ligularia reniformis aka Tractor Seat Plant

- Philodendron xanadu aka Winterbourn Philodendron

We had such a fun time landscaping Kerry and Jeff's garden. We wanted to design a space that was easy for them to maintain into retirement and would provide space to entertain their growing family.

Here is what we landscaped:

- A new paved BBQ/sitting area using bluestone pavers in a French pattern.

- Dromana topping walkways down each side of the property.

- Corten edging for all the pathways.

- Timber sleeper edging for the back garden bed.

- Lilly Pilly trees along the back fence for screening.

- Tall fescue turf for the lawn area.

Our first full landscape renovation, this project involved the design and construction of a cottage garden in the front yard. What was previously a patch of dirt, we were able to transform into a colourful showcase as you enter the home. We installed simple edging, hardy Kikuyu turf with stepping stones, a range of different flowering shrubs, and Magnolia ‘Teddy Bear’ trees as a screen along the East boundary.
